YOUR VOICE...
In the spirit of continuous improvement everybody's voice is critical. The CHS Leadership Team is in the final phases of the development of a five year strategic plan for CHS. The plan is based on accreditation requirements, research on highly effective schools, FUSD Vision and Goals and your input over the past few years. In the next couple of months we will be asking for your feedback by way of mini surveys. Please take a few minutes and Click here to take the survey Thank you in advance for your time and contribution to our long range plan for CHS.
WHAT THE TECH?...
The PBIS data committee has conducted an analysis of data from Minor Infraction Forms (MIFs). The data show that infractions of the electronic device policy are the most common reason for referral to PBIS Tier 2 behavioral intervention. Based on this analysis it is necessary to address the inappropriate use of electronic devices at CHS. The first step of this process is to review the electronic device policy and how it is implemented in individual classrooms. The second step is to evaluate the effectiveness of the electronic device policy and its implementation in each classroom. The third step is to develop improvements and adjustments that will alleviate the distractions from learning that inappropriate use of electronic devices cause. In the coming weeks members of the PBIS committee will be interviewing teachers to determine the scale of this issue; the effectiveness of current policy; and gather perspectives about how the CHS learning community should respond to this issue. Thank you.
