Update ~ March 28-April1, 2016

Celebrating Success
Congratulations to Keith Nicolson and Brian Locke.  Both CHS Teachers were nominees for this year's STEM City Teacher of the Year - Way to go!

Thank you counselors and all you have helped with student registration and course selection. The process is going very smoothly.  The last group to register will be our rising seniors, class of 2017. Once registration is complete, the master board committee will do their magic to build the board for SY 2016-2017.

Welcome to Our House
On Wednesday, March 30  we will open our school doors to the class of 2020, amazing right?  8th grade visitation is an important day for our incoming freshmen. Please join me in showing a warm Coconino welcome.  The 8th graders will arrive at the north entrance around 10:30am and go directly to the main auditorium.  Remember we will meet all six periods on an abbreviated schedule and our students will dismiss at 12:20pm.
8th grade student visitation will be followed by our 8th Grade Family Open House.  Open House will begin at 5:30pm in the main auditorium for a brief informational meeting. Families will then have the opportunity to walk around our school and visit classrooms from 6:00-7:00pm.

Update ~ March 21-25, 2016

Celebrating Success
Welcome back!  I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break and found time to relax and enjoy the early signs of springs.  As we reunite and get back to work I am looking forward to working with renewed energy and enthusiasm for the balance of the school year.

Faculty Meeting
Tuesday, March 22, 2:45pm in the mini-theater.

Kicking off Assessment Season
AIMS Science is this Thursday, March 24.  10th grade students (With the exception of those who took AIMS Science in 9th grade) will report to the large gym or accommodation rooms on Thursday morning.  If you have tenth graders in your first period, please send them directly to the gym or accommodation rooms.  Students will be released upon completion of the test, you can expect students to arrive to your classes throughout the morning, but we will not alter the bell schedule.  If you are a teacher with 3rd or 4/5 Prep your help in the gym would be greatly appreciated.
