We have made it through the first semester of the 2014-15 school year. Woo hoo! Thank you to those of you who have expressed interest in helping to develop our action plan in response to our recent accreditation external review. I truly believe that we are headed on the right path to meet the numerous challenges we face as educators in the 21st century. As Cris, Steve and I visit classrooms and walk around the building we find high quality teaching and learning and lots of meaningful interactions. With this kind of commitment and resolve we'll just keep getting better and better. Press on! Panther Strong!

Planning Ahead
We hear you! Due to concerns and MIF data regarding cell phone use and abuse at CHS, we are reviewing our school wide policy and giving serious consideration to making some adjustments tightening it up. The school structures committee will meet in early January to discuss this topic. In the meantime we will kick off the new year at CHS with a "What the Tech?" campaign. On Thursday, January 8, homeroom teachers will hand out a tech policy worksheet. During this time 3rd period teachers will review their classroom policy regarding hand held devices and electronics. Between January 9-15 all other teachers will review classroom electronic device policies and students will complete the form for each class period. A reminder e-mail will be sent upon our return from winter break.
