Update ~ March 2-6, 2015

Celebrating Success
Congratulations to our band and orchestra on a job well done at the ABODA concert festival on Friday.  The orchestra earned a superior rating and the band earned a superior with distinction rating! Both groups have now qualified for state concert festival in Phoenix on Wednesday, April 29.  Way to go Coco!

Penny Wars
Oh my goodness what a great combination of hard work, fun, pride and most importantly, generosity at CHS.  Congratulations to Ms. Heilman's class who won the school-wide Penny War competition all in the name of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Thank you everyone for joining in.  A special thanks to Mr. Tessmer, Mrs Wright, the NHS students and to our PTO for their help and support of this worthy cause.

Questions???
We hope so.  As promised, Cris and I will be wandering in and out of classrooms on Tuesday 3/3 and again on Monday 3/9 and Tuesday, 3/10. We will be tuning in, listening for the types of questions teachers are asking during instruction.  The purpose of this activity is not to evaluate teachers, but rather to get an idea of types of questions and feedback used in classrooms on any given day at CHS.

TPEC
The TPEC committee is currently meeting and working on version 4.0.  CHS has two representatives on the committee; Cris Holmes and Abel Garlant.  Teachers, if you have any feedback on what works well and what could be improved, please reach out to Cris and Abel with your thoughts so your input will be included in the discussion and decisions.

Calendar
Other than the weather it looks to be a quiet week at CHS. Enjoy!  FYI...C. Holmes and I will be out of the building attending the PLC Summit in Phx on Wed, Thurs and Friday of this week. George and Steve will be holding down the fort.
