Update ~ March 7-11, 2016

Celebrating Success
  • CHS CocoNuts Robotics team wins the regional Championship AND the Chairmen's Award in San Diego.
  • The CHS Transition Program hosted another successful Employee Encounter event  at CHS.
  • CHS' very own Areya Kugler wins the prestigious Viola Award for "Emerging Artist".
  • The JROTC Military Ball held Saturday night was a shining example of citizenship, character and leadership; the guiding principles of the JROTC program. Our kids are truly amazing.
And, just think, all of the above mentioned successes happened between Friday, March 4 and today, Sunday, March 6.  EXTRAORDINARY!!!

On the Horizon
School wide testing is around the corner.  The testing season kicks off with AIMS Science (Yes, we still use AIMS for science).  All 10th graders, with the exception of those who took the AIMS Science in 9th grade, will take the test on March 24th.  Barrett will send details this week.
It is time to begin the nomination process for CHS awards.  Karen Hughes will send a Google Doc with the award categories this week.  Teacher input is vital to the awards process,  please plan to devote a few minutes to help nominate and select student award recipients.
