Update ~ December 10-14, 2018

CELEBRATING SUCCESS...
CHS had a busy weekend.  The highlight of the downtown Flagstaff Holiday Light Parade was the CHS JROTC and our CHS Marching Band.  Both groups marched loud and proud and brought smiles to the faces of all the parade goers. Also this weekend our CocoNuts Robotics team hosted a lively robotics tournament with 26 teams from around our state.  Our Boys and Girls Basketball teams played hard and had a strong presence in the annual Pepsi Basketball Tournament and our wrestling team took home some serious hardware at the Show Low tournament on Saturday.  To top it all off, the Navajo Times Newspaper recognized two CHS Cross Country runners, Kaylynn Ashley and Taylor Taliman for their outstanding performance.
Congratulations Coconino and Goooo Panthers!

HOLIDAY SPIRIT...
Thank you to all who participated in the door decorating contest last week.  We sure have some creative peeps in our school. I overheard some people who were in our building this weekend oohing and awing about our festive doors and talking about how cool it is that we do this.  Best of luck to all contestants.  Cheers to the holidays, looking forward to seeing you all at our annual Holiday party on Sunday!

RTR  Truths and Myths...

Myth:  Nothing happens when students accumulate multiple Tier 1 Infractions.
Truth: Each week the RTR CT (Steve, Greg, and Laura) review the Tier 1 infractions and plan for appropriate interventions.

Myth: A student who "earns" a Tier 2 MIF should not go to the RTR.
Truth: A student who "earns" a Tier 2 MIF should be sent to the RTR.

Myth: It is not necessary for teachers to make a phone call home if they have concerns about a student because Greg and Laura do that.
Truth: Even though Greg and or Laura do make phone calls home it is most helpful when a teacher has already contacted the parent.

Myth: Students in Tier 3, In School Suspension (ISS), know what school work and assignments they should be working on and have all the necessary materials. 😉
Truth: It is really important for teachers to provide work for ISS students. When a student is assigned ISS Laura Rosensweet will contact the teachers to request work.

Update ~ December 3-7, 2018

WHEN THE "WORK" IS REALLY "LEARNING"...
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work over the past several days with a group of CHS Teachers to perform what is called a Comprehensive Needs Analysis (CNA). This is the first step in developing our CHS Integrated Action Plan (IAP) required by the Arizona Department of Education.  I am so moved by the commitment of this group, their willingness to be honest, ask hard questions, defend the incredible work teachers do every day, advocate for students, and for their deep passion for education, our profession, and Coconino High School.  Thank you!

What we learned...

In addition to the two targeted improvement areas identified by ADE, Ell/FEP and Special Education the CNA revealed two primary areas for focus "Effective Curriculum" and "Effective Teaching and Instruction".  These are also areas targeted in our strategic plan and school-wide improvement goals.

This Wednesday, December 5, we will take a look at your responses from the "Placemat Thinking" activity we did a couple of weeks ago regarding our ASPIRE data.  Then on January 9, 2019, we will work together with an instructor from the ACT Organization to learn more about the ACT holistic framework, curriculum development and alignment, and assessment data interpretation.

I love when a challenge truly becomes an opportunity and look forward to our work ahead in our continued pursuit of excellence.

POWER OF YOUR PRESENCE...
Last week Les sent out an email about the importance of teachers presence in the hallways. We have been hearing rumblings from students about aggressive behaviors during transition periods. We know that adults in the hallways can help thwart negative behaviors. We also know that a smile, handshake or high five to students as they walk by or walk in your classroom helps to maintain the positive climate we work to build in our school. Thank you for making a conscious effort to be in the hallway whenever possible and building positive relationships with our students.

Update - November 26-30, 2018

CELEBRATING SUCCESS...
Welcome Back CHS! Hope you all enjoyed some special time with family and friends.
November has been a month of successes and celebration for our CHS JROTC.
In early November our cadets competed in Keams Canyon with schools from all over Arizona and New Mexico. They took home first, second and third place trophies in physical fitness, color guard and marksmanship.
Shortly thereafter the Panther Cyber Patriot competed with over 6000 teams nationwide where students acted as I.T. professionals tasked with finding cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Then, our CHS Panther Battalion JROTC Color Guard opened the "Coconino Community College 22 Push Up Challenge" to raise awareness for veteran suicide. (Twenty-two veterans take their own lives in this country every day) - This important event was organized by Panther alum, Brianna Monell.
Congratulations on a successful fall!

INSTRUCTIONAL ROUNDS...
Our strategic plan outlines our commitment to work together to foster academic relationships that ensure the achievement of rigorous learning expectations for all.  Another commitment is to adopt the continuous improvement model toward excellence. It is the hope of the Instructional Rounds Team to help meet these goals and that we develop a shared practice of observing, discussing and reflecting on our teaching and learning practices.
This week we begin the much awaited instructional rounds.  About 20-25 teachers will be making rounds this week and are looking forward to observing in our classrooms.

STRATEGIC PLAN...
Thank you to all who have completed the survey. There's still time if you have not had a chance to take the survey  Click here for the survey.

No meetings, no school day events this week 👍

Update ~ November 19 & 20, 2018

CELEBRATING SUCCESS...
How about that Lip dub? Congratulations to the talented digital media student crew and to Jeremy Gemetta, Daniel Vidales and leading actor, Bryce Brothers.  This year's Lip Dup surpassed all expectations and should be up for an Oscar soon, great job!

MORE CELEBRATIONS...
Over the weekend our CHS FCCLA members participated in leadership and career connection workshops and networked with FCCLA members from across the country. They also participated in a community service project creating dream catchers for terminally ill patients. In the skills demonstration events, all of our students landed in the top 3 of their division.  Congratulations to CHS students Mackenzie Atkins, Adeline Travis, Cheyenne Eyrich, Emily Blink and Anisa Ayala and their teacher Laura Locke.

DID YOU KNOW?...
There is scientific proof that being grateful is plain good for you.  Scientists studying positive psychology found that a one-time act of thoughtful gratitude produced an immediate 10% increase in happiness and 35% reduction in depressive symptoms.  Every act of gratitude counts, and it can be as small as saying thank you or telling someone important how much they mean to you. Happify Daily Blog Post

Sooooo, with Thanksgiving a few short days away I wanted to let you all know how important you are to me.  I am so grateful to be the principal of this amazing school.  Without you, Coconino wouldn't be the special school that it is. I am grateful for your willingness to come to school every day to meet the ups and downs of our work, for caring about each other and our students. I am sincerely thankful each day that I get to work with such inspiring, caring, creative and wonderful people. To you all, I send a heartfelt thank you and happy Thanksgiving.

STUDENTS REACT TO BEING TOLD THEY ARE IMPORTANT...
If you have a chance check out this video.  Some of you have already seen this, but the video is a reminder to tell kids how important they are.  Click here to watch

If this inspires you to take pictures or video, please share them with me.

PIES AND PINS...
Celebrating you!  Please stop by the large conference room sometime between 11:00am and 2:00 pm on Tuesday,  November 20, for a piece of Thanksgiving pie and for those who have been with FUSD for five or more years, your loyalty pin.

Each year they get better and better.  A special shout out to CHS science teacher Kelley Smith, who continues to go above and beyond in all that does. If you want to see an exemplary professional growth plan or to talk about ways to integrate feedback during instruction, see Kelley.

Update ~ October 29-November 2, 2018

CELEBRATING SUCCESS...
City Champions sure has a nice ring.  It gives me great joy and pride to congratulate our 2018 Panther football team for their victory on Friday night.  Congratulations to coach Moran, the entire coaching staff and the athletes (our J.V. and Freshman teams also defeated the Eagles last week).  This victory was on behalf of our entire school and the love, joy, and pride that was displayed on Friday night to our whole town was possible because of all of you.  Think Rube Goldberg machine.   THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to the success of this spectacular evening. 50 Years Panther Strong!

Each week when I sit down to write the celebrating success section I reflect on all the amazing things that happen at our school each week.
This weekend after performing with passion and enthusiasm at the football game our CHS band marched along proudly with the same vigor and enthusiasm in the NAU Homecoming Parade Saturday morning.
In addition to the teaching and learning that goes on each day and in spite of the numerous disruptions and interruptions, big and little things contribute to the celebration of our successes.  Last week our counseling department hosted nearly 40 postsecondary institutions during our College and Career Fair.  Over 1000 students learned more about their options after high school.  While all this was going on Jesse Cornett, Brian Locke and David Tessmer hosted a Technology and Industry Summit to over forty business and college representatives in our community to showcase CTE and to strengthen our community partnerships.
And that was all in just one week, wow!

JUST WHEN WE THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE TO GO BACK IN THE CLASSROOM...
It's Halloween   Students are permitted to wear a costume to school, however, the only head accouterments that will be permitted are animal ears and such, that are part of the costume.  Head-coverings such as ball caps, hoods, cowboy hats, stocking caps, bandanas etc., will not be permitted. Full face paint and masks are also not allowed. Grrrrrr!

SAFETY...
Our safety drill this week will be a fire drill, Thursday, November 1 at 1:45 pm.

THIS WEEK...
College knowing and going continues this week.
10/31 ~ College Application Campaign. All seniors will complete a college application.
11/1 ~ College Goal FAFSA night 5:30 PM

LOOKING AHEAD...
November 7 ~ Faculty Meeting 2:15-2:45 pm
November 9 ~ This is a teacher workday, but students will have the day off.  Certified staff members have automatically been registered for the Youth Mental Health First Aid training at CHS. Classified staff members must register through TNL for the sessions offered on the 9th.
November 12 ~ Veteran's day.  School holiday for all.
November 14 ~ This day has been designated for vertical PLCs.  CHS will hold an all-school PLC on this day, details soon.

Rilee Montana Wescott
Congratulations to Lily and Nicole and their families!

CHS STRATEGIC PLAN...
"Vision with execution is hallucination." - Thomas Jefferson
Your input and feedback are critical for developing action steps aligned with our plan.  Thank you to those who have already responded to the Strategic Plan Survey.  If you have not yet taken the survey, it is still open. Please click here.

THERE'S NO "F" IN RESPECT...
What's the story with the new posters?  Last year the second highest incident referral was for inappropriate language.  We decided to talk to our student leaders to see what ideas they might have to help curb this problem. They responded by saying they thought we needed a motto or something short and sweet like we use for too much public display of affection, Hug and Release.  They asked if they could come up with the motto, and they did, in fact, they came up with a number of ideas listed here:
Panthers Care they Don't Swear
Swearing Isn't Caring
Try Caring not Swearing
Swearing Isn't Cool at School
There's no F in Success
There's no F in Respect
Would you kiss your mom with that mouth?
You are entering a no swear zone
You are entering a no F bomb zone

We found all of their ideas to be pretty clever.  The students liked the catchiness and play on words in the "There's no F in Respect" motto, so we went with it. Thank you to Greg Reiff and Jeremy Gemetta for coming up with and producing the posters. The PBIS team welcomes your suggestions and ideas to address the inappropriate language problem at CHS.

THE BIG GAME...
This Friday, October 26 is the annual rivalry football game between CHS and FHS.  For the past thirty plus years, this game has been held in the dome at NAU (The Skydome is the home-field for FHS). This year we are the home team and we are hosting the game on our home field at Cromer Stadium. Coconino County has provided addition bleachers on the visitor's side so we can accommodate about 4000 people. Nackard Pepsi has provided concession trailers and Southwest Foods has donated food to sell through concessions. Our Student Council has teamed up with KAFF radio to host a pre-game event on the practice field. This will be a great evening and hope you can all come out to help cheer on the Panthers and enjoy a great hometown evening.

Thank you all for your enthusiasm, flexibility, and patience last week during homecoming.  It was a successful week and your support for our students truly makes CHS a special place.  The culminating event was the dance on Saturday night and it was better than ever.  Thank you to Liz and Bree from our TSW program who spent time before the dance helping students from our specialized programs get ready for the homecoming dance.  The students joined in and danced the night away,  it was really cool.  A shout out of course to Gaby and our CHS Student Council, Jeremy, Daniel, and CHS Digital Media students.  You guys and gals are amazing!
Oh yeah, and how bout those Panthers? Congratulations to our football team for the big homecoming W! Goooooooo Panthers!

HONORED...
Congratulations to CHS teachers Katie Scholler and Bryce Brothers for being selected as this year's Homecoming Dedictees. Your care and compassion for our kids are noticed by all. Thank you for doing what matters.

ACT/ASPIRE...
On Sept 27, our 9th grade English teachers administered the first round of the ACT ASPIRE and we already have the results, how about that?  Our interventionists Mike Vogler and Page Ballard examined the data and provided amazing insights and feedback with the 9th-grade English collaborative team. Much of what they discovered is relevant to all disciplines and probably not really a surprise.  The areas in which our students performed the lowest are; nonfiction reading, making comparisons, making inferences and synthesizing. I think these findings are worthy of further discussion, and we welcome your thoughts. Questions related to this information will be included in the Google Classroom "Hot Topics" section in the near future.

A.D.E.  A-F LETTER GRADE...
On October 5, the Arizona Department of Education released the school letter grades.  CHS Maintains a "C" letter grade. We are moving the needle forward and by our continued efforts, one day it will show up in our letter grade.

CALENDARS...
10/8, 9 ~ 9th grade ASPIRE for math.  This will take place in the math classrooms with no necessary schedule change.
10/10 ~ PSAT testing.  Students who signed up to test will report directly to the small gym. We will make an announcement at 8:00am to remind students to report to the gym.
10/10 ~ First annual CHS Chili Cook-Off
10/11, 12 ~ Fall Holiday woot! woot!

Update ~ October 1-5, 2018

CELEBRATING SUCCESS...
Congratulations to John Eder, CHS Band Director, and Page Ballard, CHS Intervention Teacher for their recent and well-deserved recognition as F.U.S.D Legendary Teachers. Jon and Page were honored at last week's board meeting for their many years of service and for making a difference in the lives of their students. We are fortunate, and our students are privileged to have these two extraordinary people in our Panther family.
Also at the board meeting, CHS student, Sean Hutchison joined the governing board as a student advisor to the governing board.  Sean was an excellent participant and represented CHS with enthusiasm, pride, and poise.

LEAN IN...
The word on the street is there is a lot of misunderstanding about the 100% Measurement  Achievement in the grade book. Achievement is intended to reflect evidence of learning. which is collected from multiple sources over time in relation to standards and is, potentially, as diverse as the students, teachers, and the various disciplines. What goes in the grade book is determined by your professional discretion regarding evidence of learning.
Below are some examples of what might be considered evidence of learning. This list not exhaustive, nor all-inclusive, but will hopefully clear up the rumor that only "Tests" go in the grade book.
Evidence of Learning
Work samples
Demonstrations
Performance tasks
Projects
Teacher observations
Discussions
Written reflections
Journal entries
Essays
Oral Interviews
Class work
Tests, Quizzes, Common assessments

THIS WEEK...
Remember this is CHS Homecoming Week.  50 years panther strong!  Please refer to the homecoming schedule for this week's bell schedule and events.

Happy homecoming week everyone!

Update ~ September 24-28, 2018

CELEBRATING SUCCESS...
Who knew an assembly about how to survive an active lethal threat event would be so well received by our students. Thank you all for helping to set the tone and talking with our kids about this serious and important topic.  The students were a great audience and showed respect and courtesy to Jesus and we all learned a lot.  I am including Jesus' contact information should your students or you wish to send a follow-up note, or have any questions.

Update ~ September 17-21, 2018

CELEBRATING SUCCESS...
After a full year of working on an extremely rigorous and comprehensive application, Coconino High School submitted an application for candidacy to become an International Baccelearute Diploma Programme (IBDP) school on June 1, 2018.  I am proud and very excited to announce that on September 12, 2018, CHS received notice that we have officially been accepted by the IB Organization as a candidate school.  I will share the next steps with you once we hear from IB.
Congratulations CHS, this is going to be a wonderful journey!

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS...
As you know this Thursday, September 20, we have an all-school crisis reality training (CTR). This is a serious topic and some students might need time to talk about what they learn at the assembly when they return to class.  Please be flexible and take the time to talk to your students about school safety and CTR.  Click here for the schedule for September 20. Please read the schedule carefully.   We had to split the school in half in order to accommodate everyone in the auditorium.  Morning assembly is 8:15-9:30 am and afternoon is 1:15- 2:30 pm.  I will send a separate e-mail tomorrow (9/17) with information about which assembly to attend during first period.

SAFETY (CONT'D)...
In addition to talking about safety and emergency response at school, we also need to practice our response. I have added the dates for our safety drills to the documents section of the Panther Report. Please add these dates and times to your planning calendars.

PBIS...
One of the ways to help thwart dangerous behavior is a positive school climate.  Below are a few quick reminders.
Five positive hallway conversations:
1.  Address a student by name during each passing period.
2.  Hold a door open for students.
3.  Wish students good luck at their events on game days, or exams on exam days.
4.  Thank students for meeting expectations.
5.  Ask a consistent question and notice when you get an irregular response then check in with the student.

These reminders come from Aaron Hogan, author of Shattering the Perfect Teacher Myth.
Enjoy your time in the hallways!

Update ~ September 10-14, 2018

CELEBRATiNG SUCCESS...
Thank you, everybody, for taking the time to input the Tier 1 discipline referrals in Synergy.  We are reviewing these classroom referrals weekly and trying to intervene early to help keep them from becoming Tier 2 referrals. Our CHS Tier 2 discipline referrals are 50% lower than they were this time last year. We realize that this is due in part to a new system, but it is encouraging all the same.

CHS STRATEGIC PLAN...
Please take a few minutes to view our CHS Strategic Plan.  As we begin to form our working committees and round the corner to the heart of the school year, it is important that we are all familiar with our plan and long-term vision for our school. Click here to read the CHS Strategic Plan.

TEACHER PERFORMANCE EVALUATION (TPEC)...
It is time to prepare for this year's formal teacher observations and evaluations.  Steve, Les and I will be sending invitations to our evaluation groups to set up pre-conferences where we will share the plan for this year as well as any necessary documents.

CALENDARS...
September 12 ~ CHS New Teacher Meeting 2:30 pm Room # 201
September 20 ~ All school safety assembly
September 24 ~ Mandatory bus evacuation drill (2nd period)

Update ~ September 4-7, 2018

CELEBRATING SUCCESS...
Fall Open House ✅
Yearly mandatory training ✅

A special thank you to all of our presenters and to you all for helping to make this year's open house a success.

DATE CHANGE...
The date for our Calvin Terrell presentation for students has changed.  Please note Calvin Terrell will NOT be here on September 10.  He will be here on October 17 for an all-school student assembly.  More details soon.

BLOG DOCUMENTS...
On the right-hand side of the Panther Report, you will find frequently used documents. This week I added three new documents; Facility Request Form, Faculty Meetings 2018 and CHS
Letterhead.

FOOD IN CLASSROOMS
We ask that students eat meals in designated eating areas such as the cafeteria and tiled area on the west side of the cafeteria, south commons and the culinary arts rooms.  There are several reasons for this rule:
1. Food and food residue in trash cans attracts rodents.
2. Eating a meal during instruction time can be distracting.
3. The odors from some foods can be bothersome, distracting and invite rodents.

We realize that some students require nutrition at times other than meal periods. If this is the case for any of your students, the student should first discuss this need with you before accommodations to the rule are made. We also know that there may be an occasion where you will have a special event in your classroom where food will be served. The following guidance is intended to help teachers develop a plan to accommodate certain needs:
  • All food waste, including packaging, must be disposed of in hallway garbage cans or taken directly to the trash dumpster.
  • Students with teachers permission may eat dry snack foods only in the classroom.
  • Students with nutrition break permission should eat discretely and quickly and preferably in a specific area in the classroom
If you encounter a special need not mentioned above, please let me know so we can make a plan together

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING COMMUNITIES (PLCS)
"Strong professional learning communities(PLCs) produce schools that are engines of hope and achievement for students. Well-implemented PLCs are a powerful means to increase vigor in working toward common goals and helping to promote complex, intelligent behaviors for teachers and students." (Dufour, Eaker, 2008)
This week we will kick off our CHS professional learning communities for the school year.
When: Wednesday, September 5, 1:20 pm
Where: The CHS cafeteria
What to bring: Your laptops

REMINDER...
We do have an all-school student safety training on September 20. To accommodate the one hour and ten-minute presentation, we will have two assemblies and an abbreviated class schedule. I will send the schedule out this week in an email and include it in next week's Panther Report as well.  Please mark your calendars.

CELEBRATING SUCCESS...
"Friday Night Lights" at Cromer Stadium last Friday were electric. Our students showed up full of CHS spirit and Panther pride for the football season opener.  We came away with a big win against Thunderbird High school.  Way to go Panthers!

A NOTE FROM THE CHS COUNSELING OFFICE...

Welcome back Coconino Family!
First off, we would like to thank everyone for being patient, understanding and very flexible during the first couple of weeks with all the shuffling of students! We are very excited in the counseling office this year! We have some amazing new additions and are rolling out a couple exciting new services.

We would like to welcome:
Emily Pietruszsynski – Alpha counselor A-Gi
Shannon Taylor - Native American Advisor
Becca Fockler – Counseling secretary
Jenn Netsky – Sped Therapist
Shari Contreras – Registration
Jacquline Coleman – Data Clerk

We are also starting a couple services to help support our students:
Counselor of the Day – We will be assigning a “Counselor of the Day” on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The role of the Counselor of the Day is for that counselor to be available to help enroll new students, meet with parents who walk in or a student in crisis.

Chat and Chew - Every Wednesday, a counselor will be located in the south commons, during combined lunch. This counselor is available for students to stop by and ask a quick question, request transcripts, talk about attendance, grades, or just stop and say HI!

ECAPS – We will continue doing our ECAPS (Educational Career Action Plan) this fall and in the spring. This is when we meet with students and help them figure out their post-secondary plan and how we can best support them to get there.

Round Tables – You will also hear about roundtables that we host in the evenings. These are informal evenings where we are able to share grade -specific information to students and their families.

Thanks! Have an amazing year!

Update ~ August 20-24, 2018

CELEBRATING SUCCESS...
All week I heard from kids about how much they love their teachers.  Thanks for being amazing everybody!

HELP WANTED...
Are you familiar with Key Club? High school Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. It is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through service to others and build themselves as they build their schools and communities.
Kiwanis of Flagstaff is hoping to start a Key Club chapter at CHS. The leader/Organizer will be provided, we just need a classroom and a certified teacher willing to stay during meetings.

Coco has talent...
Looking for the voice of the Panthers.  We are in need of a sports announcer for volleyball and basketball games this year.

Lunch Duty...
We need a few more people for lunch duty.
Please let me know if you are interested in any of the above positions.

IEPs
Teachers are the heart of the IEP Process. Your input is vital and provides critical information for the success of our students. Please make every attempt to attend your student's IEP meetings. If you know in advance that you are unable to make an IEP meeting, please communicate with the case manager (either through email or in person) and give a report on the student's strengths and weaknesses. Your presence is preferred, but in your absence, a written report will help the IEP team make appropriate decisions about each student's individual education plan.
Thanks for your support of our students here at CHS!

GOOD REASON TO CALL HOME...
I thought you might enjoy reading this article about making positive phone calls and building relationships with students and their parents.  Click here to read the article

Update ~ August 13-17, 2018

CELEBRATING SUCCESS...
Have you ever seen or heard of a Rube Goldberg machine? I would describe our first two days back with students as a successful Rube Goldberg Machine...a few minor glitches with overall great success.  My hypothesis was right, you are all amazing, really amazing.  Thank you CHS faculty and staff for a successful kick-off to what promises to be a great school year. If you have a couple of minutes to watch a great video, I think you will love this one about a young boy and his Rube Goldberg machine.

CHS TEACHERS ARE TRULY A GIFT...
Our very own Terry Wilson was featured on NPR last week. You make us all proud Terry! Click here to listen to Terry's story.

REFLECTION...
Please provide your thoughts and feedback about our training with Calvin Terrell.  Click here for a brief, Low/Grow/Glow questionnaire.

Pre-test window opens Monday, August 13.  Follow the guidelines below to help students log in.
RETURNING students (including those from middle school) will use their logins from last year.
If RETURNING students cannot remember their password from last year, they will need to see Jen Parker in the library.
NEW to FUSD students will use the default password the first time, then be prompted to set up their own.
Default:
User Name = Their ID Number
Password = !Student1
HINTS:
  • The username and password that students use to get on the computer is the same one they will use for StudentVUE.

* See Jen Parker or Les with questions

GOOGLE FOR FACULTY AND STAFF...
Tuesday, August 14 at 2:45 pm in the library, Les will be offering a mini training on how to access your FUSD Google account and how to access your online textbook. This training will be very short, 15-20 minutes and is intended for beginners to Google. (Not 301 eligible).

Student First Days.  The schedule for these two days will be distributed and reviewed during our Nitty Gritty Meeting on Tuesday, August 7.  For planning purposes, each period will be 25 minutes with the exception of third period homeroom which will be an extended period to allow for the various beginning of the year activities such as textbook distribution, student, and staff IDs, ect.

I hope you enjoy the last few days of summer and I look forward to a great school year ahead. The next Panther Report will include updated frequently used forms and a calendar of important dates for the month of August.
